Tournament Day 2 Dorado - Blue Marlin 250kilos
 Friday 30th July 2010
Second day of the Tournament and our Lucky Mascot Heather Rimmer was on board to boost our confidence (she sleeps with the lures) where she puts them is anyones guess but it works!. Husband Alan took to the chair to fight a Blue Marlin of 250kilos / 558lbs. Alan an acomplished angler took 25 minuets to bring this beauty to the side ready for release. In Alans own words it was probably the best fight he has encountered as the fish only jumped once and then sounded. Dordao are now lying in 5/6th place due to time of hook ups out of 38/40 boats. SIX boats are now tying with 1 Blue Marlin each SO tomorrow it is anyones game out there.
GOOD LUCK and VERY TIGHT LINES tomorrow for the Rimmer Charter and crew of Dorado Roberto and David.
WELL DONE TO ALL ON BOARD TODAY and CONGRATULATIONS to Alan.

Tournament 1st Day
Thursday 29th July 2010
Over 38 Boats taking Part this Year. Unfortunately the 1st Day has proved very slow with a few boats raising Marlin early morning. NO catches until afternoon when 3 boats caught. So it looks like the fish came up around 1 o´clock.
There were Plenty of BIG Bonitos showing so Maybe the Blue Marlin will feed tomorrow.
GOOD Luck to all Boats and Tight Lines.
BLUE MARLIN that got away!
Wednesday 28th July 2010
TuesdayOnly Bonitos today for the Rimmer Charter But Grandson Ross was the proud Angler. Spearfish Have been seen Today.
Wednesday Todays fishing:-
After Catching 2 Blue Marlin Last week Hook Ups seem to be evading us. Today we Lost Blue Marlin which atacked the Centre Rigger Lure 3 times and ended up being billwrapped and shed the hooks on the Run- Bad Luck Folks! A Spearfish also slashed at a lure twice but never returned. On a more prositive note Big Tuna are moving and we saw three shoals before they sounded. Our Comiserations to the Rimmer group of Anglers who saw but never conquered. Two other boats reportedly Raised Marlin today with the same Cenario only raised or lost on the run. Tomorrow is the first day of the Puerto Rico Tournament which the Rimmer Family have won before with Angler Heather in the Hot Seat.
SO GOOD LUCK AND VERY TIGHT LINES OVER THE NEXT 3 DAYS.
Blue Marlin and Spearfish
Monday 26th July 2010
The Rimmer Family took to trolling today after a succesful afternoon bottom fishing trip on Friday with Rays and a very big Hammerhead Shark trying to rob them of their catch. Young Ross had a whopper of a Black Ray and Billy Joe had a good size Turtle Well done to the young Anglers.
With the trolling trip today Bonitos were being caught during the trip and then at approx 2pm a Blue Marlin appeared at the Long left hand rigger then shot off to two other lures in the spread. The Blue Marlin then headed back to the long left hand rigger and at the same time a Spearfish appeared with both fish heading for and striking the same Lure. This resulted in No hook ups and left Alan, family and friends with only memories of seeing these two Game fish. Bad Luck Alan, Heather and Family and tight lines for tomorrow.

BLUE MARLIN and Wahoo
 Friday 23rd July 2010
Once again we found the Marlin for our clients.
But fate reared its ugly head after losing a Wahoo on the way out to the drop off. WE raised a Blue Marlin of approx 250kilos / 500lbs. It struck the Lure with its bill and took 50 meters of line before shaking its head and throwing the hooks. ( bill hooked!) The clients were dismayed but happy to see this awesome fish. Like we said earlier in the week THEY ARE HERE. 5 strikes in 4 days 2 Blue Marlin caught and released. Bonitos were caught today so all was not lost. Bad Luck Folks for the Big One.

BLUE MARLIN Tag and Released
 Wednesday 21st July 2010
Once Again Wolfgang Friede triumphed with another Blue Marlin ( 2 in 2 Days) Wolfgang made the return to Canarian waters after globetrotting in his quest for Blue Marlin.
THE FISH ARE THERE although finding the Hungry ones amongst the bait shoals is hard going. Tactical changes were needed and we employed them with success. Spearfish are showing in numbers amongst the spread so some exciting fishing is on the cards for the following days ahead.
CONGRATULATIONS TO WOLFGANG and Crew of DORADO.
