Pasito Blanca Competition

After winning the Puerto Rico Competition our spirits were high.
Paul & Myself were on the Cavalier this year with Skipper Abraham & Hafed - they did not let us down raising 2 Blue Marlin hooking up with one 300kilos plus.
After a 2 hour fight and the wind on leader being totally wrapped around the fish Paul got the fish to the boat 3 times before it finally went down and unfortunately died. Due to the fact that the fish was tail wrapped and being played on 80lbs tackle it was unfortunately impossible to take the leader and you cant take the double line due to the IGFA rules that apply in all competitions.
MANY THANKS TO BOTH CREW FOR THEIR NOBLE EFFORTS IN TRYING TO RAISE THIS FISH- THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN THE BIGGEST FISH OF THE COMPETITION and secured our 1st place standing again.
THE CAVALIER HAS UNDOUBTABLY RAISED MORE BILLFISH
THAN OTHER BOATS COULD DREAM ABOUT.

CONGRATULATIONS!
Well done to the following anglers
Martin Roberts on yet another Blue Marlin on 50lbs Stand up equipment- 130 kilos / 291lbs - Tagged & released.
Also well done to John Wadrup from Birmingham England on his 1st Blue Marlin which was tagged and released and estimated at 120kilos/ 268lbs
after losing two.
Also to Justin Whitehouse from Birmingham England on the Beautiful Dorado.
Crew member experience

Paul a valued crew member had a wonderful experience of Playing a True King of the Sea - Blue Marlin estimated over 400 kilos / 895lbs +
Nice Play Paul and we are pleased it was Released so that maybe yet another angler will have the same pleasurable experience.
Bonito Bashing

A nice afternoon charter was had by Mr Hamilton and his 2 friends and 2 sons as they chose to have a trip fishing for Bonito Tuna.
A good afternoon was had by all as 25 Bonito tuna was caught.
