BLUE MARLIN
Thursday 19th May 2005
Today for 75 years Old Denise Burrell-Clements of Liverpool England a life long dream came true.
Denise has fished on the island for many years with other companies along with her husband until he unfortunately passed away and left her with the dream still not achieved.
But after chartering the Cavalier Boat this year she achieved it and caught that elusive Blue Marlin.
Denise made the decision to boat the fish because of a promise she made to her husband.
The Fish weighed in at 280 kilos / 625lbs and gave Denise an excellent fight on 130lbs tackle for 35 minuets. The crew would like me to say that she played the fish excellently.
A BIG WELL DONE TO DENISE from all the staff and Crew.
