BLUE MARLIN

CONGRATULATIOS to DORADO on yet another Blue Marlin today. The angler was Patrick Bommels from Monnickendam Holland. The Marlin was estimated at 200 kilos / 445lbs and Patrick thoroughly enjoyed the experience of playing this wonderful species.

Well done to Martin Roberts From England on the Tag & Release of his 200 kilos/ 450lbs Blue Marlin on board the CAVALIER. Martin had a great fight on 50lbs tackle stand-up.

Well Done to DORADO and angler Erik Rundquist from Sweden on the Tag & Release of his Blue Marlin.
Also yesterday Cavalier had a nice size 25kilos Wahoo.

Well Done to Martin Roberts from England who yesterday TAGGED & RELEASED a 330kilo/740lbs Blue Marlin on board the Cavalier. Martin had an excellent fight with this Marlin on 50lbs tackle playing with standup gear.

BIG GAME IMPROVING

After the beginning of the week being a little quiet for Big Fish we saw an improvement on Thursday with 5 Blue Marlin being raised and a further 2 on Friday. So lets see what today brings forth.
I would like to say a Big Well Done to Rene from Denmark who caught and released a 80 kilos / 178lbs Eagle Ray and also Daughter Denise on the catch and release of her 50 kilos/110lbs Butterfly Ray and Also Good try to their Friend who had a one and half hour fight with a Monster Sting Ray. This was the charter day they had set aside for bottom fishing. CHEERS-Rene hopefully see you next year for that BIG BLUE|
A GOOD MARLIN DAY

Congratulations to both boats on the catch & Release of their Blue Marlins
Dorado had a Blue Marlin approx 160 kilos/360lbs
which was released
Cavalier and Angler Chris Miller from Bridgewater Somerset on the Release of his Blue Marlin approx 220 kilos /490lbs. Also Chris had another Blue marlin hook up on the same day which unfortunately on him reaching the Hot seat through the hook.
Keep up the good work crew on both boats.

Dorado had a nice Blue Marlin of 120 kilos / 268lbs - Well done to crew & Angler
Cavalier had Wahoo & Dorado and raised a Blue Marlin on the afternoon trip. Well done to crew and anglers
TOURNAMENT & FISHING UPDATE
Monday 8th August 2005
Well Unfortunately this year Puerto Rico Tournament did not produce any big fish and was won by a Wahoo - disappointing for all participants.
For the last 2 weeks the fishing has been slow for all boats, not producing the Big fish we would expect end July / beg Aug.
DO NOT DISPAIR - it has picked up and on Saturday 4 Blue Marlin were raised & Cavalier had a small Big Eye Tuna.
Sunday 2 blue Marlin Raised and the bonito tuna taking again.
