On the island of La Gomera yesterday there was a private boat from Lanzarote visiting La Gomera and decided to go out trolling and they where the only boat fishing and gues what? THEY HAD a Blue Marlin of a lifetime 1000 lbs. Obviously the fishing is off to a great start there and Dorado boat cant wait to get fishing in La Gomera with their Charters.
Bad Luck Continues

Friday gave us the thrills of raising 4 Blue marlin and Spearfish but they seem to be too well fed as they did not take but swam with the lures. Each time one that was raised we were amongst either the Dorados or Bonitos ( nice supper for the billfish) The Dorados and bonitos are taking on the small lures.
Saturday Proved to be quiet day for all the Boats and no billfish where caught or seen.
Dorado boat will be out of the water for its annual maintenance for the forthcoming week but I will contuiinue to update you on the Cavalier.

DORADO- The 1st charter boat to have hooked and played a Blue Marlin this Year.
Dorado today hooked a Big Blue Marlin of at least
350kilos estimated at 800lbs.
This Blue Marlins fantastic specticle of jumps thrilled everyone on board the Dorado and gave experienced angler Fran a good 45mins fight.
On bringing this fine specimen to the side of the boat the fish turned shook his head and threw the hooks. How Unlucky can you get!
No other hook ups today by any other boats.

A few Spearfish have shown without luck of a hook up and we are still catching Bonitos (small in size). So to sum it up it is still on the quiet side but every day is a new days fishing and May usually proves to be a good month.

Monday 23rd April 2007
Today Dorado has done a mix of trolling and bottom fishing and had some nice catches of Rays and Bonitos.
Bluefin Tuna ,Big Eye Tuna are running with the dolphins and whales and we are waiting for them to enter the waters of the south.
The weather today is Windy but very hot ( 90 deg)

After a good start to the week with Blue fin Tuna, Big Eye Tuna and albacore Tuna also Blue Marlin being seen and raised the later part of the week has gone quiet for the Big Game fish.
Catches of Bonito Tuna seems to be the option at present but I am sure in the next couple of weeks we will see an upsurge agin in the Game fish.
I would Like to Thank Steven Lynch for chartering yhe Dorado on Thursday. We would love to see you back in the summer months or alternatively La Gomera , Thank you Steve for your custom.

Yesterday was another Exciting day for the Dorado they hooked and lost in the play 2 more Blue fin Tuna. Unfortunately thats fishing. But they still had a nice catch of bonito tuna.
Blue Marlin Seen today so they are hear.
Cavalier also had some good bonito Tuna.
Today has proved more difficult for the Tuna - No boats raised Big Tuna and the Bonitos decided that they were not hungry even the Dolphins proved more elusive today.
Well the Good weather and good seas gives everyone a nice day out.
BLUE FIN TUNA

Dorado boat has done it again, They have been the boat that has had the 1st Blue Marlin of the Season for the last 5 years and now yet again they have had the 1st Bluefin Tuna of the Season as they have done in previous years.
CONGRATULATIONS - DORADO with captains Antonio and Roberto Deniz.
Angler Paul Flanner today fulfilled his life long dream and caught a Bluefin Tuna of 146kilos/326lbs. Not only did he catch this one but we also raised 3 other bluefin Tuna. What a Day. Wife Lynda was also pleased with her catch of Albacore Tuna.

Today 2 Bluefin Tuna where lost after some 3hour plus battles.
Both Boats had some good catches of Big Eye Tuna and some good fat Bonito Tuna. So excellent days fishing by both boats.
The clients enjoyd the fishing and also the beautiful weather along with the many whales and dolphins who where jumping in and out of the many balls of bait.
Congratulations to both Boats.

Dorado on its afternoon trip had some brilliant catches of 11 Albacore Tuna.
