WOW! a good days fishing

Both boats today have had Blue Marlin.
Cavalier on the morning trip had 4 Blue marlin up behind the lures at once. Three struck the lures and resulted in a hook up of 2 a Double Strike. A Dream come True for any boat. Unfortunately one was lost in the fight and the other was played to Release it was estimated at 150kilos / 335lbs- CONGRATULATIONS to angler and crew of Cavalier.
Not to be left out Dorado boat also had a hook up with a Blue Marlin on the day trip which unfortunately was lost and also a Wahoo and 2 Nice Dorados were caught. Congratulations to the 2 anglers from Italy Alvise Veronese and Sebastiano Franzoso on their nice catch of the Dorados.
DORADO boat had a 4 hour afternoon trolling trip and this proved very succesful for Charter client Gavin Silver from England who Tagged & released a Blue Marlin of approx 140kilos / 315lbs. Gavin is a regular Dorado boat Client and also enjoyed playing 5 Good size Dorados with a Bull dorado weighing in at 20kilos/44lbs.

Yet another Blue Marlin day for our boats.

Congratulations to Cavalier today on the Tag & release of a Blue Marlin of approx 250 kilos / 550lbs. CONGRATULATIONS to Angler and Crew.
Dorado Today had another excellent skipjack tuna day ( Bonitos) .
Good Bonito Tuna Day

Today although No Big Fish up it was a good days fishing for both boats as they had good catches of nice size skipjack tuna ( Bonito).
Also a good size Dorado ( mahi mahi) was caught today so lets see what happens next as those BIg Blue Marlin like a nice tasty Skipjack tuna and Dorado.

SWEDEN RULES THE WAVES!
No other boats can compete with our Tournament achievements, Last Year Puerto Rico winners out of 36 boats and this year 2005 PASITO BLANCO winners out of 36 boats.
CONGRATULATIONS to crew Roberto & David Deniz of DORADO and most of all the Anglers who chartered from Sweden, Ralph Bergman, Palle Eriksson & Christer Bystrom. They played to Tag & Release 2 Blue Marlin in one day.

Saturday 25th August 2007
On Day three no boat that had already caught on the previous days had another Blue Marlin
Therefore the placing are as follows from a total of 33 boats which entered.
1st place - private boat Ralyntida - winners
2nd Place- private Boat Hedonist
3rd Place - Charter Boat DORADO
Yet again Dorado is in the the first 3.
CONGRATULATIONS to Dorado Crew and Yolanda on a Nice tag & release of a good size Blue Marlin on 50lbs Tackle.
Second Tournament Day
Friday 24th August 2007
Today 3 boats hooked into Billfish
2 Blue Marlin were tagged & released
1 Spearfish tagged & released which was on board the Cavalier.
Congratulations goes to Cavalier today and angler Engelbert from Germany.
Tomorrow 5 boats go out with 300 points of which one is Dorado Boat and Cavalier goes out with 50 points for the Spearfish.
It looks like its down to one Big Fish tomorrow.

Yesterday 6/7 Blue Marlin were Raised and 3 played to Tag & release.
1st place - private boat 300 points
2nd place - Opa Loca private noat 300 points
3rd Place - DORADO - charter boat 300 points.

DORADO BOAT HAS DONE IT AGAIN

Today, Tomorrow and Saturday is the 3 Day Big Game tournament of Pasito Blanca.
Yes and Dorado boat True to form has been one of only 2 boats today to Hook up and play the Blue Marlin to Tag & release today although to our knowledge 5 Blue Marlin have been raised.Yolanda expertly played the fish on 50lbs tackle.
Yolanda and husband Paul from Holland had some fantastic fishing on board the Dorado in La Gomera where she won the Big Game tournament so they made a special flight back from Holland to fish this tournament and it looks as though she is set to get in the prizes again.
GOOD LUCK FOR TOMORROW YOLANDA AND DORADO CREW.
TIGHT LINES: our tournament records will not be beaten by any other charter boat in Gran Canaria.

Well what can we say but it has been quiet apart from the odd bonito tuna (skipjack)being caught the Big fish seem to be sleeping.
WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK Kim Hall Jeorgensen from Denmark on chartering the Dorado boat on Saturday and Sunday - sorry the fishing was quiet Kim but you saw what it could be like when you went out on Thursday on the tourist trip . Dorado hooked in 3 Blue Marlin that day. As they folks THATS Fishing!
Cavalier had an afternoon charter today for rays and 6 Nice rays were caught and released.
