Bad Luck day
Thursday 29th May 2008
After losing a Big Dorado Cavaliers unfortunate Lucck persisits when Hooking up a Spearfish which pulled the Hook. Cavalier tried to Raise the Spearfish again only to Raise a Blue Marlin which hooked up only after switching from one lure to another. Angler Ian Prebble tightened up to the fish after it tearing from the reel 200meters of line. While this was happening the Crew started to clear the other lines only to Raise another Blue Marlin which hit the short flat line lure 3 times only 5 meters from the boat before sinking out of sight.Needles to Say angler Ian unfortunately lost the hooked Blue Marlin through it being bill wrapped. The Captain Crew and Angler had only one word to say after all this excitement- I will leave you to guess it!
Never Mind Crew of Cavalier tomorrow is another day and our condolences go to Angler Ian - you saw it - experienced a slight taste of it and who knows what might happen the next time you give the Big Game fishing a go.
Thank you Ian for Chartering the Boat and I hope you and your family enjoyed the experience.
DORADO- La Gomera Fishing - They also had some Bad Luck today and also lost a Blue Marlin. BUT for those clients who are yet to start their charters BIG I mean BIG - Big Eye Tuna were sighted by many of the boats yesterday so Possibly some Good action to come over the following days.

Wow what a day for the Cavalier boat and Crew Abraham, Hafed and Paul along with Angler Pierre Merten ( affectionately known to us as Peter) having celebrated his 60th Birthday last week. Had the present he wanted in the Form of a BLUE MARLIN which was released estimated 220/240kilos along with this he hooked into 2 good size DORADOS of which one was unfortunately lost and the other nicely boated.
