Saturday 28th June 2008
Husband and wife Due Alain abd Veronique Munters from Belguim Holidaying in La Gomera Resort of Playa Santiago booked 3 days Charter aboard the Dorado . They achieved their life long ambition of catching Blue Marlin of 300kilos/650lbs and the fish was one of a triple strike. What a sight for the anglers 3 Blue Marlin dancing across the lures in the tranquil waters of La Gomera.
Double headers are quite common in these waters But a triple header WOW!
On Releasing this fish they went on to hook up a forth one of the day.
Wow! what a day to remember.
The Following day Alain went on to Tag & release one of two Blue Marlin. This one was estimated at 250kilos/560lbs .

Cavalier Charter Clients Nigel Bearman,Tim Robjohns and Friends Paul & Dave Decided to give Gran Canaria a try in the quest for that Elusive Blue Marlin after visits to Mauritius islands..
They Caught Bonito Tuna, Nice Dorados and you guessed it - a Blue Marlin of 250kilos/550lbs. Tim Robjohns was the angler in the Hot seat for the Blue Marlin and surprised all by playing the fish superbly for 20/25mins as this was Tims first time Big Game fishing and he took to the opportunity of battling with these Giant Creatures lik a duck to water.
Tim Works at Sony in Berkshire England .
Thank You to Nigel Bearman who organized the trip for himself and friends.
Well Done Cavalier ,crew who made it possible for Tim to achieve his Dream fish.
During the Later part of this week Big Eye Tuna have been showing with several being taken up to 55kilos. Lets hope they stay with us during the Month of July.

LA GOMERA UPDATE - DORADO BOAT
Thursday 12th June 2008
Anglers Mark Nightingale and Peter Wilkinson joined together to charter the Dorado in La Gomera
and following on from the Danish Doctor John They raised eight Blue Marlin but unfortunately no Hook ups. These Blue marlin where actually playing with the lures and even flicking them out of the water. Both Mark & Peter said WHAT A SIGHT, SEEING THESE BEAUTIFUL CREATURES IN CLOSE UP. During the evening they had spectacular sights of 100kilos plus BIG EYE TUNA crashing out around the boat . But once again these beauties were not feeding on plastic ( lures).
Peter & Mark thoroughly enjoyed these fantasitc visual experiences and did not have to wait long for one of these beauties to decide that they were Hungry - SO READ ON.
Well they Both achieved their Dream and Guess What happened - Yes They both Had Blue Marlin on the same Day.
Peter was in the chair first and after 15/20mins he had Tagged & Released a 180kilos/400lbs BLUE MARLIN. 10/15MINUETS Later Mark was in the Chair (hot seat) playing his Dream Fish and it lit up like a Christmas Tree turning Flourescent Blue in Colour and this 160kilos/350lbs Blue was Tagged and released in excellent condition. But the day was not over when later that day they had a strike of Big Eye Tuna.
THE CREW, ANTONIO, lYNDA & PAUL OF DORADO WOULD LIKE TO THANK MARK AND PETER FOR CHARTERING THE DORADO IN LA GOMERA AND HOPE THAT YOU ENJOYED YOUR EXPERINCE WITH US.
