DORADO - Saturday 30th was the 1st days charter for Mark and Mike which produced great results with MIKE NORTHPOTT tag & releasing his 1st ever Blue Marlin. The fish was estimated at 120kilos / 240lbs WELL DONE TO MIKE AND CREW of DORADO.

Today an exciting days fishing and especially for Steve Peacock from beverley England with his fishing mate Steve Blundell also from Beverley England.
Both anglers had fished with us earlier in the week but decided to give it a go Trolling again today and Steve Peacock was amazed at the action on his rod. First a Blue Marlin was Raised and hooked up on Steve´s Lure . Steve Jumped into the Chair ready for the Action and the other anglers cleared the lines But unfortunately before Steve could get stuck into this Blue Marlin the fish through the Hook. Thats fishing folks!
Steve thought that his luck had gone with that fish BUT low and behold not long afterwards a Spearfish was raised and yes you guessed it Steves Rod screams off again. THis Time Steve successfully Played the fish to Tag & release.
The Spearfish was estimated at 30/35kilos 60/70lbs. WELL DONE TO STEVE PEACOCK.
Thank you to both Steve´s for choosing to fish with us.
Today Saw plenty of action in our waters with the various boats raising 5 Spearfish of which one was boated and one was Tag & released.
Also there was 5 reported contacts with Blue Marlin of which one boat Tag & released the fish.

After the beginning of the week being quiet for the Big Game fishing Yesterday went with a bang.An exciting Day with contact with 2 Spearfish of which one through the hook and the other was played to Tag & release Also 3 Very Nice Size Dorados (mahiMahi).
Good day out had by all on Board.
Well done to all Anglers and crew.
All quiet Today on the fishing front.

Both La Gomera and Gran Canaria have proved quiet today on the fishing front. Plenty of Birds working, Lots of Bait and many Dolphins BUT unfortunately NO big fish for our clients.
As they say tomorrow is another day so TIGHT LINES!
Mark gets his Tuna

Saturday Mark and peter commenced their charters with DORADO in La Gomera. What a 1st day it proved to be they raised 2 Blue Marlin seen by all on board but due to the scholls of bait around unfortunately they did not hook up. All was not lost as later they raised Big Eye Tuna and Mark caught a nice Tuna of 100lbs.
Sunday´s fishing for Mark & peter saw 3 Blue Marlin being Raised with the same results as Saturday -TOO MUCH BAIT- no Hook Ups and even the Tuna Today were a little more picky.

Yesterday another Blue Marlin Tag & Release

Congratulations to Dorado who yesterday Tagged and released yet another Blue Marlin in La Gomera.
Congratulations to Crew and Angler Later in the Day the Big Eye Tuna where again showing but unfortunately no success with any Hook ups.
Tight Lines to Mark & Peter who will be fishing the next 5 days with the Dorado.
2 Blue Marlin Dorado does it again

Once again Dorado has made its trip to La Gomera which lies 70miles south west of Gran Canaria for its charters and to enter the Big Game Tournament on the 12&13th June.
After arriving in Gomera´s waters and just fishing for 2 hours Dorado has supplied the goods hooking into the 1st Blue Marlin with angler Remigio from Gran Canaria in the Hot Seat the Marlin was played to TAG & RELEASE and estimated at 280/300 kilos - 580/600lbs Appox 1 hour later Blue Marlin number 2 was hooked up and Angler Remi was back in the hot seat. This also was succesfully played to TAG & RELEASE and was estimated at 200/240kilos - 400/450lbs. I am sure the angler Remi will enjoy the video of this experience for some time to come. Later they raised 4 Big Eye Tuna but infortunately no hook ups. WELL Congratulations and well done to both Angler Remi and Crew of DORADO.
INTERESTED in fishing this Blue Marlin & Tuna mecca then we are now taking bookings for 2010 and also have a few dates available for 2009.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE CLIENTS WHO HAVE CHARTERED AND RETURNED TO LA GOMERA THIS YEAR.

537 kilos - 1200lbs what a whopper!

La Gomera island has produced the goods with a beauty of a Blue Marlin being caught a great 537 kilos / 1200lbs. Do You fancy being in the hot seat for a beast like this then we have availabilty for 4th June to the 8th June 2009 inclusive Or alternatively put this island on your fishing schedule for 2010.

Dordao Boat Blue Marlin No. 2

Congratulations goes to Dorado Boat on catching Blue Marlin number 2 Last Thursday. The Luck fisherman was regular charter client Eric from Austria. Well done to Eric and the crew of Dorado Boat.
The game fishing seems now to have started and lets hope its a bumper season like last year.
Some dorados have been caught and seen also Spearfish and most days last week Blue Marlin where raised by the various boats trolling .
Good Luck and Tight Lines to both boats this coming week.

Another Blue Marlin Raised

Yesterday was Raised a Small Blue Marlin which came to the outrigger lure twice but failed to take. Thats Fishing Folks but one can say it looks like the game fishing is now underway.
