Monday 27th July 2009
You must be getting fed up with seeing the same old story Yes we had hookups no we didnt catch. We are raising BLUE MARLIN to no avail The marlin are full and only billing the lures with the odd one getting tangled up on the bill giving a false take, Twice on sunday we had to endure this gut wrenching occurance,Lets hope the bait which is mainly mackeral starts to disperse giving us a hungry marlin to raise. The same thing happened today but thats big game fishing

Tournament 2nd Day
Friday 24th July 2009
The 2nd day was very slow with 3 leaders sharing on a catch with 2 Blue Marlin released which go on time catch Basis. Dorado raised yet another Blue Marlin but unfortunately no Hook Up. At the moment it is any ones guess who wins. Lets hope the 3rd day fishes better with only 7 Blue Marlin being caught today.
Puerto Rico 24th Big Game Tournament
Thursday 23rd July 2009
The 1st Day started with a bang ,several boats hooking up only to loose them. Dorado was 4th in Line to catch and Release Blue Marlin which fell to Angler John Greggain from Cumbria who is fishing with regular Clients Alan and Heather Rimmer. Heather won the Puerto Rico Competition on board the Dorado a few years ago so is no stranger to tournament fishing.JOHN worked the fish to the boat in approx 12minuets for a successful Release.
Blue Marlin number 2 struck the lure twice and unfortunately slipped away.
The Disaster ! Blue Marlin number 3 Tail Walked some 100 meters of line across the surface - everyone on board cheering at this fantastic sight and also knowing that this fish would have taken us into 1st place. IT WAS NOT to be after clearing all the lines out of water , angler in the chair , the fish swung 360deg and threw the hooks. No one on board could believe our luck!
Well lines quicklty back in the water skipper Roberto said there would be more fish about and combed the area, then those dreaded words over the Radio Lines out of the Water - fishing day over. As The rimmer fishing party went to clear the lines out of the water a Blue Marlin of 150K struck the Centre Rigger and this Blue was expertly played the fish to the boat in 10 minuets by Veteran Alan Rimmer.
Wife Heather congratulated him by Screaming YOUR ALWAYS LATE YOU JUST MISSED LINES OUT BY 1 MINUET - What Luck.
DORADO 3 BLUE MARLIN
Tuesday 21st July 2009
What a day it turned out to be raising 8 BLUE MARLIN well done to all the anglers LOEST BURKHARD RICHARD BREUR AND A SPECIAL MENTION TO 13 YEAR OLD EMILIA FROM SWEDEN. Emilia s family of father and young lad who accompanied her on the trip froze when the blue marlin took and left Emilia to battle the awsome fish this she did in a very calm manner credit to you gal, when the fish was leadered there was a big cheer for the 13 year old, what an acheivement. LOest is a seasoned angler and with many a marlin under his belt had no difficulty bringing the fish to hand for a swift release, DUTCH ANGLER Richard Breur also enjoyed his fight with his fish and all 3 anglers celebrated together ,WHAT A DAY
