2 BLUE MARLIN
 Wednesday 30th June 2010
Bad Luck for our Client Chris Miller from Bridgwater England after seeing a Big fish on the fish finder we made contact with Dorados, Capatin Roberto insisted this big fish was feeding on this speacies so we trolled the area for anothe 30 minuets and we had a Blue Marlin alongside the boat swimming freely less than a meter away before it swam off. The Another Blue Marlin came from the left to centre Rigger and switched to the Long Right lure and YES you Guessed it HOOKED UP, clearing the deck Chris played the fish for 5 minuets before everything went slack. Silence followed! In the last 2 days we have raised 5 BLUE MARLIN with no positive outcome. Chris a big Game specialist said thats fishing folks and is optimistic for his next days fishing. GOOD luck and Very Tight LInes for tomorrow Chris.

3 BLUE MARLIN
 Tuesday 29th June 2010
YES today we raised 3 BLUE MARLIN.
The 1st one was around the 150kilos/300lbs it came through the spread and tracked the right hand long rigger lure, faded off, and returned 2 minuets later BUT unfortunately showed NO signs of Hunger. One hour later the Captain Roberto shouted BIG FISH this Marlin was at the shotgun Centre Lure. IT slashed at the Lure then for some reason lit up and switched its attention to the long left hand lure making full blooded contact with Head and shoulders out of the water pulling the clip and taking a good 15/20 meters of line. Chris Smith from England was the Unlucky angler when his lure shot out skywards in a shower of spray. Bad Luck Chris this was his 1st full sighting of a Marlin head and shouldering taking his lure. This Marlin was a good size 250/280kilos 500/600lbs. The 3rd marlin of the day was smaller around the 180kilos /360lbs mark and only curiously followed for 30/40 seconds. Lets hope the Marlin start to feed better this week. Once again Bad Luck Chris we know you had some form of consolation by the sight of this awesome fish. Also over the last 2 days Bonito Tunas have been caught.

Legend Fisherman
 Saturday 26th June 2010
Dorado over the last couple of Days has been graced by the Legend Angler Heinz from Germany who has caught during his fishing career 118 Blue Marlin. It has been a Pleasure to have such an acomplished Angler on board the boat who over the years has fished with Skipper Robertos Father Antonio on the old Dorado Boat and caught many a Blue Marlin which contributed to that impressive Tally. Nice to see you again Heinz and sorry those Big Blues were evasive this time But look forward to seeing you again in August for the 119th.

 Friday 25th June 2010
What can we say except that it is like Ground Hog Day out there! Plenty of Bonitos, Squid shoals showing everywhere and the Marlin FULL on all the Bait in the waters. The Full Moon has also played its part over the last couple of days making it even more difficult to catch those Elusive Blue Marlin. THE BLUE MARLIN are in the Waters and who knows what can happen any day now.

 Tuesday 22nd June 2010
Trolling Again today produced a variety of game fish. Best Catch Today was Wahoo and the angler was Saulius Grigas from Lithuania. A Special Mention to Tomas Cronin from Ireland one of our youngset Anglers who had 3 strikes of Bonito Tuna and without any help landed them himself. Well Done Tomas. Dorados were also hooked and Spearfish seen. Lets hope the Blue Marlin show this coming week and give our clients the opportunity to fulfill their Dreams of catching the much sought after fish.

Marlin, Spearfish. Dorados and Bonitos
 Sunday 20th June 2010
More Bait fish than ever and the Billfish are having a feast. First up was a good size Spearfissh who was not really interested in plastic and faded off. One Hhour later we caught 4 Nice Dorados and Capatin Roberto decided to stay in this area due to the different bait and sure enough the Majestic Blue Marlin appeared on the Short Rigger and shadowed it for about 3 minuets. NO amount of teasingit would coax this beauty onto the lure. 4 Times the Marlin Faded and came back only to Tease us! Al and Sheila Richard from the U.S.A. who had charterd the Dorado for the day were amazed at the tactics to try and enduce a take from this Blue Marlin. Later they went on to take some good size Bonitos and were very pleased with their days fishing on Board the Dorado Boat. Bad Luck for the Big One but thats fishing folks!

Lots of Fish Showing.
 Saturday 19th June 2010
A Few Strikes with Unfortunately nothing to show for it over the last 2 days fishing.
Fish are still showing amongst the Spread BUT no hook ups have occured. Several Spearfish have been raised But are still hookshy, Blue Marlin are coming up late afternoon on the High Tide. STILL Huge amount of Squid, Flying Fish and Bonito surfacing. Lets Hope the Blue Marlin start hitting the lures more positively to ensure more succesful HOOK UPS!
There has been talk of Tuna ( Big Eye and Yellow Fin) the Shoals in question were infact 3/4 kilo Bonitos. Having been amongst the shoal and radioing the other Charter Boats we positively identified them as Bonitos feeding on the large shoals of Flying Fish and Squid.

3 SPEARFISH
Thursday 17th June 2010
Back Trolling today and once again the fish were Hook Shy. All week the Billfish have been gorging away on bait fish and squid making them less agressive in the spread. Dorado raised 3 Spearfish and had 2 momentary hook ups with drop downs on the Riggers. The Spearfish are grouping together so find one and theres sure to be more. The Blue Marlin have beenb less active today but have been seen. Plenty of Bonito Tuna Moving. Well Bad Luck for todays Anglers although seeing these Neon Blue Spearfish attacking the Lures is some Consolation.
2 BLUE MARLIN
 Tuesday 15th June 2010
Once again waters are full of baitfish , Bonitos and Squid and as a result Marlin were scarce although we Raised 2 Blue Marlin and caught Bonito Tunas.
The fisrt Blue Marlin showed up mid-day and came to the shotgun Lure and switched to the Long Rigger before fading away. So stopping the boats speed this beauty returned and stayed inside the spread for nearly 4 minuets switching from lure to lure. As final attempt to hook this beauty skipper Robeto speeded up the boat and the Marlin Lunged at the Long Rogger Lure without that ever important Hook up. Thats Fishing Folks! Early in the Season is frustrating as Blue Marlin are normally finicky due to the surplus of bait. The 2nd Blue came in sideways across the spread and took No interest in what we had to offer. Later on we saw a Spearfish and Dorados chasing Bait. We are sure the Hook up potential will improve once the bait scholls dwindle with the takes being more agressive.
Well done Roberto for giving the clients 2 chances of that DREAM FISH.
