Bonitos and Dorados

Yesterday and Today our main catches have been Dorado´s and Bonito´s of which are plentiful at present in the waters.
Young Anglers Theo and Felix from Norway today had fun with the Bonito Tunas whilst the Essex lads caught the Dorados. Well done to all the anglers over the past two days on your catches of Bonito´s and Dorado´s.
Marlin have been scarce for all boats over the last couple of days maybe the extreme heat or water temperature is having an influence on the Billfish fishing.The weather is due to clear over the weekend so keep on-line.

Blue Marlin 260kilos/550lbs and Dorados

Lots of Marlin up today and what a surprise we had when a Blue Marlin estimated at 450kilos + entered the spread only to fade off. We chased the fish who´s tail fin was over 1 meter long (that was only half the fishes surfaced tail) till we got alongside and we all agreed it was 950/1100lbs plus before it swam into the depths. Quite a spine chilling sight!. Shortly after we Hooked up and Lucky angler Jiri Hendrych from Czech Republic played a 260kilos/550lbs Blue Marlin to Catch and Release in approx 20 minuets. Well done to Angler and Crew. The Junior angler of the Day was Tom Philipp from Germany who took Dorados.

3 Blue Marlin ( 1 Blue + Double Header of Blue Marlin)

Wow what a days fishing Charter Client Pierre Merten from Luxembourg Showed his Angling expertise today. First he played a Blue Marlin to Tag & release and then approx one hour later played a double Header of Blue Marlin to catch and release. Well done Pierre 3 Blue Marlin played to Tag and Release. Pierre´s Blue Marlin ranged between approx 200/250kilos 400/500lbs. Congratulations and very Well Done to Pierre from Crew and Staff of Dorado.

Double Header ( 2 Blue Marlin)

Wow what a days fishing. Today saw us have a double header of Blue Marlin and Jorg Ruhmer from Germany play a Blue Marlin of approx 120kilos/250lbs to Tag and Release. Unfotunately our other client lost his marlin during the Play. So Bad Luck and GOOD Luck today and congratulations and Well Done goes to Angler Ruhmer Jorg and Crew.

Spearfish and Bonitos

Ever felt like your having a Groundhog Day well today felt like our last fishing trip on monday - Spearfish ( white Marlin) and Bonitos.
The spearfish fell to Swedish Angler Pontus- Well done and congratulations and also to the anglers who caught the Bonito Tuna.

Spearfish and Bonito Tuna

No Blue Marlin caught by any boat today But we did raise 4 Spearfish.
Three were Billwrapped and a Fine Specimen which was the best of the bunch Fell to Mikisuluh Gronland. He played the fish to a standstill enabling us to get some fine shots with the camera. Along with the Spearfish,Bonito Tuna gave other anglers some sport. WELL DONE to all Anglers Today on your catches.
NO fishing tomorrow (painting back deck) Lets hopr the Big Blues start to move again in the forthcoming days.

140kilos-290lbs Blue Marlin
 Saturday 16th June 2012
After the last 2 days being quieter for the Blue Marlin although Bonito Tuna was being caught. Father and son Team Paul and Mark Bujok from England decided today was going to be the day for the Blue Marlin to put in an appearance and decided to charter the Dorado. What a Day the Duo had with Father Paul getting in the fighting chair with 2 Blue Marlin which unfortuantely proved to be Bill wrapped. Son Mark was the luckiest of the Duo as his Marlin was well and truly Hooked and Mark expertly played the fish to the boat which was estimated at approx 140kilos/290lbs for Release. Along with The Marlin Bonito Tuna was caught.
Thank you Paul and Mark for chartering the Dorado. Bad Luck Paul maybe next time BUT a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Son Mark on his catch and release.
